Cabin In The Woods – BluRay/DVD Specs/Release Date

The Cabin In The Woods – one of the most, if not THE most, acclaimed and argued horror films of the year, is making it’s way to Blu-Ray and DVD from Lionsgate on September 18th. Co-written by genre gods, Joss Whedon (The Avengers, “Firefly,” and “Buffy The Vampire Slayer”) and Drew Goddard (Cloverfield) and directed by Goddard, The Cabin In The Woods is a must see for all horror fans. You don’t have to take my word for it, read Josh & Dave’s takes on the film here on!

Cabin In The Woods (Mondo Poster)

A rambunctious group of five college friends steal away for a weekend of debauchery in an isolated country cabin, only to be attacked by horrific supernatural creatures in a night of endless terror and bloodshed. Sound familiar? Just wait. As the teens begin to exhibit standard horror movie behavior, a group of technicians in a control room are scrutinizing, and sometimes even controlling, every move the terrified kids make. With their efforts continually thwarted by the all-powerful eye in the sky, do they have any chance of escape?

Starring Kristen Connolly (The Happening), Chris Hemsworth (The Avengers), Anna Hutchison (TV’s Wendy Wu: Homecoming Warrior), Fran Kranz (The Village), Jesse Williams (TV’s “Grey’s Anatomy”), Richard Jenkins (The Visitor) and Bradley Whitford (TV’s “The West Wing”).
